About The Program

Originally launched at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, Mr. Stevey & Friends is a vibrant educational festival where high-quality arts education meets the magic of mindful play. In partnership with the Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation, this free, 90-minute experience for families blends visual arts, music, and movement with a kid-friendly “Mindful Moment.” Each event celebrates diversity through award-winning read-alouds, community meals, and educational giveaways, inviting every family to embrace three simple words: Breathe, Create, Play.
